EXHIBITION FOR GOVERNMENT LINK COMPANIES & SEMINAR, 2017

The State Government through Finance Ministry once again entrusted WHSSB to be the main organizer for the Exhibition for Government Link Companies (GLCs), 2017. The event was held in conjunction with Board of Directors Seminar cum Exhibition for GLCs from 12^th-14^th August 2017 at Borneo Hypermall, Kota Kinabalu whereas the seminar conducted from 14^th-15^th August 2017 at the nearby Klagan Regency Hotel.

The exhibition was aimed to provide information to the public on the roles, functions and contributions of State statutory bodies and all relevant agencies with regards to economic development and activities in the State.

A total of 21 statutory bodies and GLCs including WHSSB participated in this three day long exhibition. Other notable GLCs include Sabah Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO), Lembaga Pemegang Amanah Yayasan Sabah, Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn. Bhd., etc.

The event was attended and officiated by YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman who took the opportunity to visit WHSSB Group’s own booth where he was briefed by En. Mohd Nor Tahir, CEO of WHSSB Group.

DISTRIBUTION OF RM10 MILLION ANNUAL DIVIDEND

WHSSB distributed a total of RM10 million dividend to the State Government for the year 2016, an increase of RM5 million from the same amount in the previous year or so. This year’s contribution of dividend with the increased amount was significant because it underlines the continuous growth of WHSSB and its ability to generate earnings for the State Government.

The presentation ceremony took place in Bilik Danum at Sabah State Assembly Building in Likas on 8^th August 2017 and was attended by the Management of WHSSB and its Board of Directors. In the presentation ceremony, a mock cheque of RM10 million was presented by YB Datuk Ramlee Marahaban, Chairman of WHSSB cum Assistant Minister of Finance to Ybhg Datuk Pengiran Hasanel Datuk Pengiran Mohd Tahir, the Permanent Secretary to State Finance Ministry who received it on behalf of the State Government and witnessed by YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman, Chief Minister of Sabah.

MAJLIS BERBUKA PUASA WHSSB & SOLAT SUNAT TERAWIH 2017

“Majlis Berbuka Puasa Bersama Anak Anak Yatim” is one of the annual corporate events organised by WHSSB in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan. This year, the event was held on 12^th June 2017 at Dewan Tun Sakaran, Tabung Haji Hotel and was attended by YB Datuk Hj Ramlee Hj Marahaban, Chairman of WHSSB, Datuk Hj Abu Bakar Hj Abas, the CEO and all officers and staff.

This year’s celebration was meaningful because apart from the 50 orphans from Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim As-Sakinah, Papar and some distinguished guests were also invited. These include YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Panglima Hj Ampong Puyon, Ybg Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Datu Khalil Datu Jamalul and Ybg Tan Sri Datuk Panglima Mohd Bakri Zinin, the former Deputy Inspector General of Police of Malaysia.

The highlights of the event, which started as early as 5pm, were presentation of WHSSB’s corporate zakat worth RM1.48 million by Datuk Ramlee Marahaban, chairman of WHSSB to Pusat Zakat Sabah which was represented by Ustaz Mohd Zaratkhan Abd Rahman and performance of nasyid songs by Adam AF & Group. The zakat presented to PZS has further positioned WHSSB and its group of subsidiaries as one of the largest contributors among GLCs in Sabah.

CONTRIBUTION OF HARI RAYA COOKIES TO SABAH SECURITY FORCES 2017

Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn. Bhd. has donated 18 boxes of Hari Raya cookies to 9 of Sabah Security Force agencies as a tribute to members of the security forces who are on duty during the festive season.

The Hari Raya Kuih-Muih Handover Ceremony was organized by Sabah State Deputy State Secretariat Office, Datuk Asnimar Haji Sukardi. The Ramadhan Bazaar has also been held to assist the wives and members of the security forces.

The ceremony was officiated by YAB, Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman, Chief Minister of Sabah at Auditorium Tun Ahmad Raffae.

Datuk Hj. Abu Bakar B. Hj. Abas, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn. Bhd. (WHSSB) is present to represent the company.

WARISAN HARTA SABAH GROUP NEW YEAR DINNER 2017

Warisan Harta Sabah Group New Year Dinner 2017 was held on Friday the 20th of January 2017, at the Hibiscus Garden, Pan Pacific Hotel Sutera. The event was attended by Chief Executive Officer of Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn. Bhd. (NBE), Common Tower Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (CTTSB), WHSB Trading Sdn. Bhd. (WTSB) and WHS Sterilization Service Sdn. Bhd. Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Angkatan Hebat Sdn. Bhd. (AHSB), Tuan Haji Syed Husin Bin Habib Omar and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Borneo Housing Mortgage Finance Berhad (BHMFB) Mr. Hwa King Nee are also among the attendees.

WHSSB ANNUAL DIVIDEND PRESENTATION

Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn Bhd (WHSSB) has paid interim and final dividends of RM10 million to the State Government. WHSSB Chairman, YB Datuk Ramlee Marahaban presented the payment to Chief Minister of Sabah, YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Bin Haji Aman on the 22nd November 2016 (Tuesday). The event took place at the Sabah State Assembly Building, Likas, Kota Kinabalu.

Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn Bhd (WHSSB) Group held “Majlis Rumah Rumah Terbuka Hari Raya Aidilfitri” at Hyatt Regency Hotel (Tanjung Ria Kitchen and Nagisa Japanese Restaurant) Kota Kinabalu on 3rd August 2016. Among VIP guests that attended the event are YB Datuk Seri Panglima Syed Abas Bin Syed Ali, the Speaker of Sabah State Legislative Assembly and Datuk Teo Chee Kang, Minister of Special Tasks for Sabah’s Chief Minister’s Department along with their entourage.

On the 30th July 2016 to 1st August 2016, Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn Bhd (WHSSB) Group have participated in For Board Of Directors Seminar cum Exhibition for Government Link Companies (GLC) which is anually organized by the Sabah Ministry of Finance. The exhibition took place at Centre Atrium, 1Borneo Hypermall and were joined by 17 others statutory bodies and state government agencies. Special Tasks Minister Datuk Teo Chee Kang, attending on behalf of Sabah Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman visited WHSSB Group booth and briefed on the company and its group progress by YBhg. Datuk Haji Abu Bakar Bin Haji Abas (CEO, Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn Bhd.).

Contribution of Hari Raya Cookies to Sabah Security Forces 2016

In recognition of the services of members of the security forces, the Sabah State Goverment held a Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2016 Handover Ceremony to 9 (nine) of Sabah Security Forces agencies which is organized by Sabah State Deputy State Secretariat Office, Datuk Asnimar Haji Sukardi.

The Hari Raya Aidilfitri Cookies Delivery Ceremony was held at Tun Ahmad Raffae Auditorium, Tun Mustapha Tower, Likas, Kota Kinabalu which was officiated by Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Hj. Aman, Chief Minister of Sabah. Datuk Ramlee Marahaban, the Chairman of Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn. Bhd. (WHSSB) is present to represent the company.

MAJLIS BERBUKA PUASA KUMPULAN WARISAN HARTA SABAH SDN BHD & SOLAT SUNAT TERAWIH 2016

Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn. Bhd. (WHSSB) had held “Majlis Berbuka Puasa Bersama Anak-anak Yatim Yayasan Kebajikan Suria” at Dewan Tun Sakaran, Tabung Haji Hotel on the 20th June 2016. Chief Minister of Sabah, YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman was among the VIP guest that attended the event along with 44 orphans from Yayasan Kebajikan Suria.

The event began at 5.00pm, with the arrival of guests and ended at around 9.30pm. Among the highlight of the event was performance of Kumpulan Nasyid Kanak-kanak Getaran Irama Kayu from Membakut and Terawih prayers.

The zakat presentation was presented by YB Datuk Haji Ramlee Marahaban, Chairman of WHSSB, and witnessed by the Chief Minister of Sabah, YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman.

In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, WHSSB and its group of subsidiaries presented a corporate zakat payments worth RM 1.17 million to Pusat Zakat Sabah (PZS) to fulfil its obligation under the fifth pillar of Islam. The amount presented to PZS has positioned WHSSB (and its group of subsidiaries) as one of the largest zakat contributor among Government Link Company (GLC) in Sabah.
